Zoey’s Banana Oat Bars with Chocolate Chunks

2 cups flour
1 cup rolled oats
1 tablespoon baking powder
3/4 teaspoon salt
1 cup unsalted butter(softened)
1 1/4 cups sugar
1 1/4 cups light brown sugar
2 eggs
2/3 cup ripe banana(mashed)
2 teaspoons vanilla extract
4  2.6oz bars mild sweet chocolate(cut into 3/4 inch pieces)
1 cup pecans

Bake at 350F for 45 minutes
Yield: This recipe yields 2 dozen

Method: Preheat oven to 350° and butter and flour a 15X10 inch baking sheet. Blend the first four ingredients in a bowl and set aside. In a mixing bowl beat the butter until fluffy. Add both sugars and beat until well combined. Add eggs 1 at a time, beating well after each egg. Beat in the bananas and then the vanilla. Stir in the flour mixture thoroughly, then add the chocolate chunks and pecans.
Spread the batter in prepared pan. Bake until golden, approximately 45 minutes. Let cool in pan and cut into squares.
